The Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute on the campus of UAMS in Little Rock is offering free prostate cancer screenings on September 17th. The screens are for men 50-75 years of age, or African American men and those with a family history of prostate cancer, 40-75 years of age.

Santa Margarita football coach Harry Welch has prostate cancer and will undergo surgery for it during the coming football season. Welch, 65, said his doctor, after initial exams, suggested a biopsy was needed and the biopsy revealed the cancer. A...
