Antonio writes: "Seeking to encourage upgrades to its upcoming Visual Studio 2010 IDE, a Microsoft executive has detailed a promotional offer intended to prod users of the Standard Editions of Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 to move to the new platform. The company also is offering a pre-ordering option for Visual Studio 2010, which is set to launch on April 12."
Some 100 million Europeans using Microsoft software will be asked to choose among rival Web browsers by mid-May under a deal the company struck to settle antitrust action, the European Union said Tuesday.
My research with Bonnie lead me to this.
"A war of words is heating up between Google, Microsoft and a host of smaller sites over alleged anticompetitive behavior by Google in the online search market. "A US District Court judge has put an end to a year-old lawsuit accusing Microsoft of antitrust violations for its program allowing new systems loaded with Windows Vista to be downloaded to Windows XP. Citing a lack of any benefit to Microsoft, Judge Marsha Pechman dismissed the suit."
Microsoft has reacted quickly to a new vulnerability in Internet Explorer which could allow remote code execution.
This is the latest news as of March 2nd.
"Microsoft will install a plug-in for its Outlook 2010 e-mail application for Xing, a large professional networking site dominant in Germany, the companies said Monday."

My grandfather said he heard this on the radio.

Microsoft is offering on Monday a second beta release of its Windows Server AppFabric technology, which features services intended to improve speed, scale and management of Web, composite and enterprise applications.
