Google has changed the way it presents real-time search updates, giving those search results their own section and a "conversation" view designed to cluster like-minded updates.
WWW.MACWORLD.COM writes: "Google has given its real-time search engine its own Web page and increased its capabilities to filter and narrow results."
My Aunt thought this was interesting.
"Google Operating System reports some users are seeing Google search results center or middle aligned. For some reason, Google may be testing padding white space on the right and left of the search results."
Do you?
This one is for my sister Kathy:
I saw this posted at BITS.BLOGS.NYTIMES.COM.
"Google is digging deeper into real-time search, with a new search page that displays only results from timely sources, like updates from Twitter and other social networks."

"Google on Thursday rolled out a standalone site for real-time searches that will pull news stories, blog posts, and updates from social networks like Twitter, Facebook, and Buzz."

I found this posted at NEWS.YAHOO.COM on Friday.
"Google on Thursday further embraced the world of tweets, status updates, and on-the-fly posts with a website devoted to finding "real-time" content as it hits the Internet."
I read this in the Winston paper and wanted to share it with you.
"Google may need to add more mobile and business features to make its new Internet-calling service a true rival"
Google Inc launched a website on Thursday for users who want to sift through news, comments and other information on the Internet in real time, letting them follow conversations on social network hubs such as Facebook and Twitter in one place.
Google Inc. needs to add more mobile capabilities and support for business customers to its new Internet-calling service to compete with Skype Technologies SA and rival Web-phone providers, analysts said.
Barry told me about this - "Google has fixed a Gmail glitch that caused some messages to be re-sent multiple times. Google - Searching - Search Engines - Google Voice - Skype"
This one's for Catherine, I know she is reading.
"Google Wave and Google Buzz may have had troubles attracting usage, but the new ability to place calls from Gmail appears to have caught on quickly."
Google just loves upsetting the apple cart. It shook up Web searching and advertising. It shook up free Web-based e-mail services when Gmail offered gigabytes of free storage rather than a few megabytes. It shook up the way companies go public.
